Lesson 2 of 6
The words are not the tell
Two people can say the same sentence. How do I know any of this is true.
In one of them that sentence is a question. They went looking for it, they find it interesting, they would like a good answer and when they get one they are satisfied.
In the other it is a symptom. It arrived on its own, it is alarming rather than interesting, and what they want from an answer is not understanding, it is relief.
The content is identical. You cannot tell them apart by listening to the words, and neither can the person saying them, which is why so many people spend years being given the wrong kind of help by people who are trying hard.
