Before you read on

This course explains waswasa and it does not treat it. The treatment with the best evidence, exposure and response prevention, works by staying with the uncertainty without doing the thing that quiets it, and it is worked out step by step with a trained therapist. Nothing here asks you to do that, and you should not build it for yourself from an article. If the doubt is taking hours of your days, lesson six is about finding the right person.

Lesson 2 of 6

There is a rule for this, and most people have never been told it

Here is something that surprises almost everyone who hears it for the first time. The question you keep asking, did my wudu count, was I really in the prayer, did I say it properly, is not an open question in the law. It was settled long ago, and it was settled in your favour.

The rule is five words in Arabic. Al-yaqin la yazulu bi al-shakk. Certainty is not removed by doubt.

What you last knew for sure stands, until something equally sure replaces it. A doubt, however loud it is, is not equally sure. It does not have the weight to move anything.
