Lesson 4 of 6
Two names, one experience
The tradition calls it waswasa and points at where it comes from. Clinicians call the pattern obsessive doubt and draw the loop it runs on.
You do not have to choose. They are describing the same experience from two angles and neither one cancels the other. That the Qur'an names a whisperer does not make the loop imaginary, and that a clinician can draw the loop on a whiteboard does not make the naming untrue.
