An example
Yusuf messages his imam to ask whether a particular thought invalidated his fast. The answer comes back. No. He feels better for about forty minutes.
Then the doubt returns wearing a slightly different hat. But what if I did not describe it properly. What if he did not understand what I actually meant. So he writes again, with more detail this time.
The imam is not the problem, and the question is not the problem. The tenth asking of the same question is the problem, and it is a compulsion wearing the clothes of seeking knowledge.
