A check
Somebody tells you that if you are struggling to study, your intention must be wrong. On this lesson, what is the problem with that?
Nothing, intention does matterIt reads your standing with Allah off a symptom, and it cannot be testedIt is true but harshIt only applies to religious study
Yes
Intention matters. What this sentence does is different: it infers something about your inner state from the fact that you are having difficulty, which is a claim nobody is in a position to make about anybody. It also cannot be checked, because if you improve it was the intention and if you do not it is still your fault. The practical effect is to add shame to a task that lesson two says is already too aversive to start.
