Made lighter on purpose

The rope, and alongside it the report that says the religion is easy and that whoever overburdens himself in it will not be able to keep going. That second one is not consolation for the weak. It is a prediction about what overloading does.

Qur’an and Sunnah

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Religion is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near to perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded; and gain strength by worshipping in the mornings, the afternoons, and during the last hours of the nights." Narrated Anas bin Malik Once the Prophet (ﷺ) entered the Mosque and saw a rope hanging in between its two pillars. He said, "What is this rope?"
