What this course will not ask you to do
It is worth saying what is deliberately not here, because you will find all of it on the internet and some of it is presented as gentle.
We are not going to ask you to write letters to your child. Not once, and certainly not repeatedly. Writing a name is acknowledgement. A course of letters is a structured revisiting, and structured revisiting is a treatment.
We are not going to ask you to tell the story of the loss. Not the scan, not the ward, not the phone call, not what you saw. Not in writing, not out loud, not repeatedly.
We are not going to ask you to hold an imagined conversation with your child, or to keep one going. That exists in supervised therapy and it is not safe to run on yourself, particularly if any of the trauma picture in lesson six fits you.
And we are never going to suggest that how you feel affects whether you conceive. That claim is not established, and its only real effect is to hand a woman one more thing to hold herself responsible for.
If revisiting the loss is what you need, that is a real treatment, it works, and lesson six tells you how to ask for it.
