One real number, and where it stays
One. Not all of them, not a spreadsheet, and not the pile.
You choose which. A balance, a rate, an amount owed to one person, a date something is due. Pick the one that features most in the three in the morning version, because that is where the uncertainty is doing the most work.
Look it up once. Write it somewhere. Stop.
Three things about how this course handles it. That number stays on your own device or your own paper. This platform never asks for it, never stores it, and never responds to it, and there is no calculator here that will do anything with it. Nobody here will assess it, and nobody here will tell you what to do about it.
And you are not being asked to sit with the feeling until it goes down, or to work through the pile in stages, or to keep going once you have the one number. That is a different thing, it is a treatment, and it is not what this is. One number, once, with a clear stop.
If you get to it and cannot do it today, that is information rather than a failure, and it is a useful thing to say out loud to a debt adviser, who has heard it many times.
