Lesson 5 of 6
One. The pile behind the clock
Unopened post. A banking app you deleted. A phone that rings from a number you know and that you watch until it stops.
Each of those gives real relief, immediately, which is why it keeps happening. And each of them holds the uncertainty exactly where it is, which lesson two showed is the fuel.
So the avoidance is not laziness and it is not denial in the moral sense. It is the loop working correctly, doing the one thing that reliably makes today easier and tomorrow worse.
Nothing here is telling you to open everything. Lesson four was one number, once, chosen by you, with a stop. The rest of the pile goes with you to the adviser in lesson six, and advisers deal with unopened piles every single day.
