The paper introducing the category and setting out what it requires. It is not a diagnosis of pornography addiction, and the authors are clear that no such diagnosis exists in ICD-11. It sits among the impulse control disorders rather than among the disorders due to addictive behaviours, which is where gambling and gaming sit.

A review of how the newer ICD-11 categories have been received in practice. Where compulsive sexual behaviour disorder was placed was contested when the decision was made and it is still contested.
