The one to remember
Answer it in your head first.
Someone tells you that because you are still coping, Allah must have decided this is within what you can bear, so you should keep bearing it. What is wrong with that?
It takes a verse about the limits of religious obligation and hands it to another person as permission. It also cannot be disproved: if you are surviving, that proves you should continue, and if you collapse, you were not patient enough. Any argument that wins either way is not an argument. The verse is a mercy about what Allah asks of you. It says nothing about what a husband may do to you.
