بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ - وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ - الَّذِي أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ - وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ - فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا - إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا - فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَانصَبْ - وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَارْغَب (1. Usama b. Zaid reported that Allah's Messenger (way peace be upon him) said:I stood at the door of Paradise and I found that the overwhelming majority of those who entered therein was that of poor persons and the wealthy persons were detained to get into that. The denizens of Hell were commanded to get into Hell, and I stood upon the door of Fire and the majority amongst them who entered there was that of women

Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri and Abu Huraira:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that

Narrated Abu Huraira:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The example of a believer is that of a fresh tender plant; from whatever direction the wind comes, it bends it, but when the wind becomes quiet, it becomes straight again. Similarly, a believer is afflicted with calamities (but he remains patient till Allah removes his difficulties.) And an impious wicked person is like a pine tree which keeps hard and straight till Allah cuts (breaks) it down when He wishes." (See Hadith No. 558, Vol)

Jabir b. Abdullah reported that Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) happened to walk through the bazar coming from the side of 'Aliya and the people were on both his sides. There he found a dead lamb with very short ears. He took hold of his ear and said:Who amongst you would like to have this for a dirham? They said: We do not like to have it even for less than that as it is of no use to us. He said: Do you wish to have it (free of any cost)? They said: By Allah, even if it were alive (we would not have liked to possess that), for there is defect in it as its ear is very short; now it is dead also. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: By Allah, this world is more insignificant in the eye of Allah than it (this dead lamb) is in your eye

ثم خاصية العقل واللب : التمييز بين مراتب المحبوبات والمكروهات بقوة العلم والتمييز وإيثار أعلى المحبوبين على أدناهما واحتمال أدنى المكروهين للتخلص من أعلاهما بقوة الصبر والثبات واليقين

وأمر المصاب بأنفع الأمور له وهو الصبر والاحتساب فإن ذلك يخفف مصيبته ويوفر أجره والجزع والتسخط والتشكى يزيد في المصيبة ويذهب الأجر

فالصبر مع نفسك و المصابرة بينك وبين عدوك و المرابطة الثبات وإعداد العدة وكما أن الرباط لزوم الثغر لئلا يهجم منه العدو فكذلك الرباط أيضا لزوم ثغر القلب لئلا يهجم عليه الشيطان فيملكه أو يخربه أو يشعثه

ويهيج أفراحهم قابلوه بالسكون والثبات والاستقرار حتى كأنه لم يهجم عليهم وقال كعب بن زهير في مدح المهاجرين :

Conclusion: In general, parents do adjust and cope with their child's cancer, but a significant majority experience post-traumatic stress symptoms. Families also report that the shift to parenting a child with cancer is very disruptive to identity and family structure and can cause negative outcomes for mothers, father, and siblings. There is growing evidence of post-traumatic growth and resilience in parents of children with cancer. Recent studies have suggested that targeted interventions may relieve distress. Implications for nursing practice: Nurses can support families in the difficult transition to having a child with cancer and may be able to intervene to reduce long-term distress in families.

Grief, Bereavement, and Mental Health After Stillbirth.

Following stillbirth, profound grief is well-documented, and co-occurring mental health struggles are common. Distinguishing normal grief from mental health conditions is crucial yet difficult, especially when losses are traumatic. Strong social and emotional support promotes integration and adjustment, but stigma surrounding stillbirth often negatively impacts the degree of support families receive. Many bereaved parents prefer peer-based and animal-assisted supports over conventional clinical services, which may reflect gaps in clinician training in perinatal bereavement care. Accordingly, all professionals who interface with bereaved families should receive targeted education in evidence-informed communication, compassionate care, and community-based support.

Nostalgia in literature and memoir.

It is not yet clear how nostalgia achieves the wide-ranging benefits on wellbeing documented by research. Much of the research favorable to nostalgia has employed experimental and quantitative methods within a laboratory setting. Literature and memoir offer a wider range of content for exploration into the complexity of nostalgia. Literature, memoir, and laboratory research have all illustrated the role of nostalgia in sustaining meaning, identity, and social connectedness. However, initial insights from this appraisal suggest a stronger emphasis in literary forms on the role of nostalgia in resolving conflict and coping with change and loss. Literary forms supplement laboratory efforts by providing a greater diversity of life experience and reflections that can yield more integrative syntheses over time.

Traumatic experiences are disproportionately prevalent among people with HIV and adversely affect HIV-related health outcomes. Mechanisms of change in dialectical behaviour therapy for people with borderline personality disorder.

This paper reviews current knowledge on mechanisms of change targeted in dialectical behaviour therapy for people with borderline personality disorder. Improvements in emotion regulation capacity and the use of coping skills or mindfulness skills helping patients to downregulate emotional reactions and to cope with stressful situations seem to play important roles. In addition, strong therapeutic relationships, where therapists use high levels of validation, seem equally beneficial for treatment outcomes. When therapists actively install hope in their patients and foster the capacity of hopeful thinking in other ways, long-term outcomes seem to improve. A growing body of evidence shows us how neurobiological and epigenetic change in brain regions important to emotion regulation and behaviour control correspond with more favourable treatment outcomes.

Focusing on the subjective experience of meaning in life, we review how it has been measured and briefly describe its correlates. Then we review evidence that meaning in life, for all its mystery, is a rather commonplace experience. We then define the construct and review its constituent facets: comprehension/coherence, purpose, and existential mattering/significance. We review the many experiences that have been shown to enhance meaning in life and close by considering important remaining research questions about this fascinating topic.

Issues and concerns of family members of burn patients: A scoping review.

Introduction: The issues and concerns that emerge in the families of burn patients have received minimal attention. Objective: To map out what is known about the challenges facing the family members of burn patients. Methods: The review followed the PRISMA Extension guidelines for scoping reviews and the review approach by Arksey and O'Malley to synthesize the available evidence. Twenty-six (26) papers from various database searches were identified and included in the review. The citation retrieval and retention methods are reported in a PRISMA statement. Results: Although most of the studies included parents (n=21), the evidence suggests that the shared concerns of family members include taking on new roles, and psychosocial and financial issues. The development of narrative identity and the emergence of personality disorders in adolescence.

Narrative identity is likely to be important in the development of personality disorder (PD) in adolescence. Adolescents' life narratives provide rich material that is near to their lived experiences and reveal individual differences in self and relatedness and in ways of constructing meaning. Narrative identity is linked with well-being and psychopathology and shapes coping with adversity. Preliminary research suggests that adolescents and adults with PD narrate their lives in ways that are more negative and express lower agency; narratives may also contain content reflecting PD symptoms. Youth's narrative identities may express personality disturbances in self and relationship processes and may affect the consolidation of or recovery from emerging PD in the transition to adulthood - all possibilities worthy of future investigation.

Bereavement in Times of COVID-19: A Review and Theoretical Framework.

A review of the literature on adaptation to bereavement during the COVID-19 pandemic was conducted to assess the current state of knowledge. Scopus, Web of Science and Google Scholar databases were searched for studies published during the first 6 months of the COVID-19 outbreak. 44 articles were included in the review. Narrative synthesis showed that knowledge was largely based on expert assessments of prior bereavement research and professional experience; there is so far absence of empirical evidence linking features of COVID-19 bereavement situations to health outcomes. Severe negative consequences have been consistently predicted by authors. Grief Before and After Bereavement in the Elderly: An Approach to Care.

Grief is the natural response to the death of a loved one and is encountered frequently in clinical practice with the elderly; it can also precede the death. Knowledge about four distinct forms of grief can aid clinicians with the conceptualization of grief, and the assessment and care of grievers. First, predeath grief is experienced by many caregivers of terminally ill patients. Second, acute grief arises immediately after the death of a loved one; and third, this normally evolves to a permanent state of integrated grief after a process of adaptation. Finally, failure of adaptation results in Prolonged Grief Disorder (PGD) which has been recently included in ICD-11.
