If you are living on campus, ask the pharmacist to split the month's supply across two labelled bottles. Then whichever one you are carrying has a valid prescription label on it.
Carrying a controlled medicine loose in a bag, or in an unlabelled tin, is a disciplinary and sometimes legal problem quite separate from any medical question. Two bottles means one stays in your room and one travels, and you are never holding the substance without its paperwork. It takes five seconds to ask for and pharmacists do it routinely. Keep the rest somewhere that locks, since being asked to share is a common and awkward moment.
This explains how treatments work. Never start, stop or change a medication because of something you read here.
Qur’an and Sunnah
Conduct their affairs by mutual consultation (Quran 42:38). Asking the pharmacist to arrange it this way is a small instance of settling a practical matter with the people involved in it.

What the research says
Nothing in this evidence base studies campus rules, so this is practical advice rather than a research finding. What the research does show, in a study of over three hundred children on methylphenidate, is that adherence problems sat alongside family strain rather than symptom severity alone, which is a reminder that treatments fail for social and practical reasons as often as medical ones. Removing an obstacle before it turns into a crisis is in that spirit.

Strength of evidence: one line of research. A single study, or a theoretical account.
Why it works
The label is what makes it your medicine rather than an unexplained substance in your bag.
This one is still a draft. It is waiting on a scholar and a clinician to read it before it is published.
Near this one
An immediate release dose gives you the whole thing at once: quick to start, strong at the top, gone within a few hours. If that is what you take, put the demanding things inside the hours it actually covers.
A pharmacy refusing a valid prescription is often working from a made-up rule or a plain mistake. It can usually be escalated, and it usually resolves fast.
Some capsules are tiny pumps. A coating of powder gives an early lift, then water seeps in and slowly pushes a gel of medicine out through a laser drilled hole, with a little more strength held back for later in the day.
