The stimulant shortage is not your pharmacy being disorganised. Regulators set a fixed annual quota of the raw material, and the ceiling has been too low to cover the prescriptions being written.
Knowing that changes what you do with your energy. Ringing round twenty chemists is exhausting and it creates no supply, so spend the effort on asking the prescriber about alternative formulations, ordering with more notice than feels necessary, and staying friendly with one pharmacy that will tell you honestly when stock lands. Liquid preparations have been hit hardest, which matters most for the youngest children.

Qur’an and Sunnah
There is 'no blame attached to the weak, the sick, and those who have no means to spend' where they are sincere (Quran 9:91). Being unable to obtain something is not a fault in the person who cannot obtain it.
لَّيۡسَ عَلَى ٱلضُّعَفَآءِ وَلَا عَلَى ٱلۡمَرۡضَىٰ وَلَا عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَجِدُونَ مَا يُنفِقُونَ حَرَجٌ إِذَا نَصَحُواْ لِلَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦۚ مَا عَلَى ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ مِن سَبِيلࣲۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورࣱ رَّحِيمࣱ

What the research says
A review of ADHD in children and young people puts prevalence at around one in twenty worldwide, while rates of diagnosis and treatment vary enormously between countries and services. Whether a child gets treated has always depended heavily on the system around them rather than on the child. A supply ceiling is that same pattern turning up at the pharmacy counter.

If sleep has gone since starting, look at what time the dose is being taken before deciding the medicine is the problem. A long acting dose swallowed at one in the afternoon is still working at bedtime.
The alpha-2 medicines work differently again. Picture small ports on the receiving cell that let noise in and let signal leak away, and a medicine that closes them.
Stimulants are not the only licensed route. Atomoxetine, guanfacine and clonidine all hold approval for attention difficulties, and they matter when a stimulant cannot be used.
