Start at the moment you have to be there and work backwards, writing each step and how long it takes, until you reach the hour you have to get up.
Interview at ten. Twenty five minutes on the train, ten minutes walking, fifteen minutes early to be safe, twenty five to dress and eat, and the alarm turns out to be half past seven rather than eight. Do it on paper, since in your head the steps quietly overlap. Afterwards, check your guesses against what actually happened. Most first attempts are out by half an hour, and it is much better to discover that on an ordinary Tuesday than on the morning itself.
Qur’an and Sunnah
He taught by means of the pen (Quran 96:4). This one only works written down, and writing is presented as a gift rather than a crutch.

What the research says
A clinical review of adult ADHD describes poor time management, disorganisation and putting things off as core features that go with the condition and that treatment should be tracking. It is a review rather than a trial of this particular exercise. What it supports is that estimating time is a known weak point, which is why practising the estimate, with feedback, is worth more than being told to leave earlier.

Strength of evidence: one line of research. A single study, or a theoretical account.
Why it works
Working backwards makes you estimate how long each part takes and then shows you how wrong the estimate was, which is how a sense of time gets built.
This one is still a draft. It is waiting on a scholar and a clinician to read it before it is published.
Near this one
A calendar holds things that happen at a time. A list holds things that must get done but not at any particular hour. Put both in one place and you break both.
Writing the list is the easy half. If twelve things are down on paper and you still cannot move, the missing skill is choosing, not capturing.
Medication can make the learning possible. It does not do the learning. If no tools get built while things are steadier, there is nothing standing there when the dose wears off.
