You will not enjoy it on Thursday either. What Thursday takes away is the choice, not the dislike.
Underneath most delaying is a quiet hope that some future version of you will feel differently about the job. That version does not turn up. Once you stop waiting for the mood, the decision gets simpler: the same hard thing now with a bit of room around it, or the same hard thing later with none.
Qur’an and Sunnah
Quickly, turn to God (Quran 51:50). The instruction is to move now rather than to prepare a little longer.
فَفِرُّوٓاْ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۖ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنۡهُ نَذِيرࣱ مُّبِينࣱ
[So, say to them, Prophet], ‘Quickly, turn to God- I am sent by Him to give you clear warning

What the research says
The idea that willpower drains like fuel came from a meta-analysis of 83 studies which found that doing one demanding thing hurt performance on the next. A later preregistered test across 36 laboratories with 3,531 people found that effect far smaller than the earlier literature implied. So running out of willpower is a weak explanation for not starting, which fits the experience of the reluctance simply never lifting.

Strength of evidence: one line of research. A single study, or a theoretical account.
Why it works
Waiting to want it costs you the calmer version of the same job.
This one is still a draft. It is waiting on a scholar and a clinician to read it before it is published.
Near this one
The real prize for starting early is that you are allowed to stop. At the last minute you have to keep going until it is finished, however late that turns out to be.
Shrink the first step until it takes two minutes, and do only that.
Do not wait to feel ready. Say Musa's prayer, ease my task, and take one step; the wish to go on comes after.
