A day has a shape. Energy up in the morning, a real dip in the early afternoon, a second lift in the evening, then down into sleep.
That early afternoon dip is normal and not a sign that you are lazy. Knowing the ordinary pattern gives you something to compare your own against, which is more useful than measuring yourself against how you think you ought to feel. If yours looks nothing like this, that is worth noticing rather than pushing through.
Qur’an and Sunnah
'He makes the dawn break; He makes the night for rest' (Quran 6:96). The day is described as having a designed shape, and yours is meant to have one too.
He makes the dawn break; He makes the night for rest; and He made the sun and the moon to a precise measure. That is the design of the Almighty, the All Knowing

What the research says
A systematic review and meta-analysis of greenspace found exposure associated with lower salivary cortisol, heart rate and diastolic blood pressure. Daylight and being outside reach the same physiology that carries this rhythm, which is a reason to get out early rather than a prescription. Most of that evidence is associational, so the size of the effect for one person is uncertain.

Strength of evidence: one line of research. A single study, or a theoretical account.
Why it works
Your body runs on a daily rhythm, and knowing its usual shape lets you see when yours has shifted.
This one is still a draft. It is waiting on a scholar and a clinician to read it before it is published.
Near this one
The shutdown side of this system runs everything below your diaphragm. That is why going flat so often arrives with stomach trouble, bladder trouble and no appetite.
The tools that reach what words cannot are physical: feet on the floor, a long breath out, pushing hard against a wall, deliberately walking away from something.
Before picking a calming technique, work out which way you are off. Revved up and shut down need opposite things.
