People close a course like this in lesson one because they are afraid of where it is going. So here is where it is going, in advance.

It is not going to tell you to cut your mother off. Not at the end and not anywhere in the middle. That is not the endpoint here, the material in the religion will not support it, most people do not want it, and it is not what the evidence points at either.

What it is aiming at is duller and harder. A tie that stays. Kindness in speech that stays. Presence at the things that matter, and help when help is needed. And less exposure to the specific thing that keeps hurting you.

The tie is not the target. The access is.
