Where this is the wrong course

Some of what gets called a difficult parent is not difficult. It is dangerous, and it needs a service and not a course.

If you are frightened of a parent or a relative. If you have been threatened. If someone is holding your passport or your papers. If you are being pressured into a marriage, or threatened about travel or about marriage. If your money is controlled so that you could not leave. If a child in the family is being harmed. If you are having thoughts of not wanting to be alive.

Any one of those and this is not the course. Go to the one called When home is not safe, which is recognition and routing, and reach a service today. If it involves a forced marriage or the family's honour, ask for a service that handles that specifically, because a general counselling line is not the right door.

None of this is a verdict on your family. It is a statement about what a set of lessons can safely do.
