The one move, and it is smaller than you think

Go back to the loop. The change is not at the end of it, where you comply or rupture. It is earlier, at the step where you begin explaining.

The move is to state the limit once, and then not enter the debate about it. Not to argue it better. Not to produce more evidence. Not to get them to agree that it is fair, because agreement is the thing that is not available, and waiting for it is what has cost you eleven years.

It sounds like a short ordinary sentence and it is meant to. We will be there at two and we will leave at four. I am not going to talk about that. I will send the money on Friday.

Then the debate is offered to you, and you decline it. Not with a speech. By not taking it up.

That is not a rupture, and it is not a rebuttal. It is a decision to stop bidding for something that was never being sold.
