Two. The community, and the aunts

Everybody outside the family sees one frame of the film. They see a grown adult who does not visit enough, and a parent getting older.

They say the obvious thing, and they say it warmly, and it works, because it is aimed at a place that is already sore.

Two things are worth holding here. They are not being cruel and they are not informed. And you are not required to inform them. Explaining your family to your aunt is the loop again, in a different chair. Nobody owes the community a case file.
