Three experiences under one heading

This course covers three things that are not identical, and it is worth naming which one is yours.

Infertility. Months or years of trying, with no single event to date the grief from. A loss that arrives again on a schedule.

Early pregnancy loss, including miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy. Often very early, often before anybody else knew, and very often with a medical experience attached that was frightening in its own right.

Stillbirth. A birth and a death in the same room, and a child other people did see.

The shape of the grief is the same across all three. What differs is what the tradition makes available to you, and lessons three and four say plainly where those differ rather than flattening them.
