What the loop actually costs
Answer it in your head first, then look.
A family has been to four practitioners in two years and nothing has changed. What has the loop cost them, and what has it not cost them?
It has cost them time, and time is the one thing here that cannot be given back. What it has not cost them is their belief, their standing, or anything about their religion, and nobody should tell them otherwise. The loop is not caused by believing in the eye or in sihr. It is caused by one idea with nothing behind it, that a treatment which has not worked yet proves the affliction is stronger.
