You have seen the post. A verse about provision, in a nice typeface, over a photograph of banknotes or a sunrise. Sometimes with a caption about what happens when you truly trust.

Underneath it there is a whole register in Muslim spaces that quietly tells people their income is a readout of their spiritual state. Very few people would say that sentence out loud. Almost everybody in that register implies it.

It is not what the verses say. This lesson goes through them one at a time, says what each is doing, and says what it is not doing, because the general reassurance that it is all a misunderstanding does not survive the next time somebody sends you the picture.
