Medication, feeding, and what this course will not say
This platform does not recommend, compare, dose or discourage any medication, and it is not going to start now. What it will say is the small number of things that are true and that women are routinely not told.
Both talking therapy and medication have evidence in this specific population, not just in general. Some of the newer options act within days rather than weeks. Breastfeeding is not an automatic bar to treatment, and a clinician who knows what you are feeding and how will work with that rather than around it.
And nobody here will ever tell you to reduce or stop something you have been prescribed, including in order to breastfeed. That decision is made with the person who prescribed it. If you are already thinking about stopping, that is a conversation to have rather than a decision to make quietly.
