The cruel version of the same sentence

There is a version of this that is technically correct and lands like a slap. Your worth is in your deen, so this should not be affecting you.

The first half is right. The second half does not follow from it. The report is a statement about what Allah looks at. It is not a prediction that you will stop feeling ordinary human things, and it was never offered as one.

People say the second half to end a conversation, and it works. That is a large part of why people stop telling their families about this and start telling nobody.
