The best exercise is whichever one you go back to. Something you enjoy, outdoors if you can, with other people if that helps, and above all something you will do again on Thursday.
There is always a more efficient programme on paper. It does not matter if you stop after a fortnight. Judge any plan by whether you would still be doing it in three months, and be honest with yourself about the answer. Swapping to something easier that you keep is not a compromise, it is the whole strategy.
Qur’an and Sunnah
Seek help through steadfastness and prayer, for God is with the steadfast (Quran 2:153). Steadfastness means the thing you keep returning to, which is precisely the criterion here.

What the research says
The evidence on exercise in chronic fatigue syndrome is genuinely contested. A Cochrane review found exercise therapy reduced fatigue against passive control, while many patients report that pacing, rather than steadily increasing the load, is what they can actually sustain. That argument has been bad tempered at times, and the practical lesson from it is that a sustainable version beats an optimal one.

Strength of evidence: one line of research. A single study, or a theoretical account.
Why it works
Whatever you keep repeating is what produces the benefit, so returning matters more than the design.
This one is still a draft. It is waiting on a scholar and a clinician to read it before it is published.
Near this one
Long goals need markers you can reach this month. Belts work because you get a visible, earned step every so often instead of one distant summit.
Doing the identical sequence every time is not boring for everyone. For some people the sameness is precisely what settles them.
Hours of nothing, then panic, then three hours locked onto the wrong task, then dread, then a promise that tomorrow will be different. If that is your day, it is a known pattern and not a character flaw.
