Amina is fifty one. Her son Tariq is twenty two and he came home from university in March a different person.

He barely sleeps. He talks to somebody who is not in the room. He has stopped eating anything his mother cooks because he says it has been interfered with. In May he told her the neighbours were sending messages through the television.

Her sister said it straight away. This is the eye, and it came from the wedding. They went to a practitioner in a town an hour away. Tariq sat through three sessions. Amina paid what she was asked and she prayed all the way there and all the way back.

Nothing about that was foolish and nobody in this course thinks it was. She did what her family told her to do, quickly, and out of love. The only question this course wants to put to her is whether Tariq has also been seen by a doctor, and whether that can happen this week.
