What this course will not do

Five promises, so that you know what you are reading.

It will not tell you that the eye or sihr are stories people tell. They are affirmed in sound reports and you will see them.

It will not tell you what is causing what you are living with. Nothing on a screen can do that, including this screen and including everything else you have read this month.

It will not give you a test, a checklist or a set of signs for working out whether somebody is afflicted. That is left out on purpose, and lesson five is about why.

It will not say that a psychiatric explanation is the true account and a religious one is a story. They answer different questions.

And it will not say that going to a practitioner first was a mistake.
