Capsules are not the only option any more. Long acting liquids and chewable forms exist, so a child who cannot manage a pill does not have to be left with nothing or with a dose that runs out by lunchtime.
Not being able to swallow a capsule stops being a small detail when it is the reason treatment ended. Ask specifically what comes as a liquid or a chewable, since a prescriber may not think to mention it, and check what your pharmacy can actually order in. What is on the shelf varies a good deal from one country and one service to the next.

Qur’an and Sunnah
'For those who can fast only with extreme difficulty, there is a way to compensate' (Quran 2:184). A different route is provided for the person who cannot manage the usual one.
أَيَّامࣰ ا مَّعۡدُودَٰتࣲۚ فَمَن كَانَ مِنكُم مَّرِيضًا أَوۡ عَلَىٰ سَفَرࣲ فَعِدَّةࣱ مِّنۡ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَۚ وَعَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يُطِيقُونَهُۥ فِدۡيَةࣱ طَعَامُ مِسۡكِينࣲۖ فَمَن تَطَوَّعَ خَيۡرࣰ ا فَهُوَ خَيۡرࣱ لَّهُۥۚ وَأَن تَصُومُواْ خَيۡرࣱ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ
Fast for a specific number of days, but if one of you is ill, or on a journey, on other days later. For those who can fast only with extreme difficulty, there is a way to compensate- feed a needy person. But if anyone does good of his own accord, it is better for him, and fasting is better for you, if only you knew

What the research says
Access genuinely does vary. A review of ADHD in children and young people put community prevalence at around five per cent worldwide while finding that rates of diagnosis and treatment differ enormously between countries and between services. So if a form of the medicine seems unavailable, that may be a fact about your local service rather than about the medicine.
