Keep two or three trustworthy places to read about ADHD and go there first. Confident, tidy explanations online are easy to find, and most of them have nobody checking them.
Look for organisations that cite their sources and say when something is uncertain, and treat a personal account as a personal account rather than as evidence about you. Sending a parent or a partner to one good page does more than trying to summarise the whole thing yourself. If a claim only appears in videos and never in anything with references behind it, that tells you something.
Qur’an and Sunnah
How can those who know be equal to those who do not know? Only those who have understanding will take heed (Quran 39:9). Choosing carefully where you learn from is part of that.
أَمَّنۡ هُوَ قَٰنِتٌ ءَانَآءَ ٱلَّيۡلِ سَاجِدࣰ ا وَقَآئِمࣰ ا يَحۡذَرُ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةَ وَيَرۡجُواْ رَحۡمَةَ رَبِّهِۦۗ قُلۡ هَلۡ يَسۡتَوِي ٱلَّذِينَ يَعۡلَمُونَ وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَۗ إِنَّمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ أُوْلُواْ ٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ

What the research says
A scientometric study mapped 28,381 ADHD publications, showing which themes have dominated research and which have been comparatively neglected. Even inside the literature, what gets attention is uneven, which is worth remembering before trusting the loudest version of anything. It describes what has been published rather than which sources are reliable.

Telling parents that their child's self-management is running behind their age usually brings relief rather than alarm. It names something they had already noticed and had been blaming somebody for.
If things fell apart when your routine did, that is information rather than a character flaw. A great deal of what was holding you together was built into the day around you.
Making a child repeat a year rarely fixes what went wrong. The same lessons without different support tend to produce the same result, plus the sting of being the oldest in the room.
